I’m Meenakshi Kagda! With a PhD in Genetics, Genomics, & Bioinformatics and 15+ years of experience, I bring deep expertise in leading complex genomic data initiatives.
My Data Science expertise encompasses advanced analytics, comprehensive genomic data management, and a strong conceptual understanding of machine learning principles.
I excel as a Subject Matter Expert and scientific liaison, fostering cross-functional collaboration between biological science researchers and engineering teams.
Having recently completed the Stanford LEAD Executive MBA program, I have cultivated strategic leadership skills, critical analytical thinking, and comprehensive business acumen.

Meenakshi is a regular initiator of ideas for the data portal that we both work on at the Stanford University, School of Medicine. Her ideas range from tiny details to overall user-interface ideas.
I’ve also been repeatedly impressed when she calmly holds her ground when people don’t see the benefit of her ideas initially, or see impracticalities that might not actually be issues.
One of the most memorable instances that became reality was Meenakshi’s idea of a mechanism to search schemas for property names as well as controlled values, and to highlight them as you type the search terms, letting you go directly to the schemas that have matches. This resulted in a very flexible search mechanism that I’ve watched other people use and have heard people say how useful it is.
